RPC Electronics
began doing business under the name Radio Parts Company in 1931.
The original name aptly described our products-- at that time radio
was virtually the only commercial electronics field.
Even at the
height of the Great Depression, company founders Samuel & Lottie
Applebaum envisioned the far reaching implications of emerging technology
and had the courage and diligence to pursue that vision. They invested
their small savings in radio tubes, parts, and components and began
calling on retailers and radio repair shops in the Pittsburgh area.
Offering only
the highest quality radio components and superior customer service,
Sam and Lottie's business prospered. After the war, RPC expanded
to embrace the next technology wave: television. Through the middle
of the century, RPC expanded into markets throughout the Midwestern
United States and gradually transitioned from consumer electronics
into the industrial sector. Today, RPC remains a family-owned business.
We continue to not only distribute electronics, but have evolved
into a Flash Module Manufacturer and a solutions provider, offering
value added services such as design, turnkey manufacturing and quality
assurance that industrial electronics manufacturers require.
Our market has
changed, our business has grown and our horizons have expanded.
But one thing remains the same: the commitment to quality, service
and value that served Sam and Lottie so well in the early days remains
as strong today as ever.
